All England Young Koi Show 2018

A new year brings a new show calendar. The long winter Koi show break is thankfully behind us and we now have a new show on the calendar to look forward to. Falling on the 24th and 25th of March. The South East Koi Club play host in their wonderful Detling venue to the first All England Young Koi Show.

The All England Young Koi Show is exactly that, aimed at "younger" and smaller Koi the show format is slightly different to that of a normal Show here in the U.K.

There are five size categories as follows.

Size 1 - 15cm to 25cm
Size 2 - 25cm to 35cm
Size 3 - 35cm to 45cm
Size 4 - 45cm to 55cm
Size 5 - 55cm to 65cm

The main awards are:

Grand Champion
Best in Size 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 (all varieties)
Runner Up in Size 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 (all varieties)
Then 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for varieties and respective size divisions.

The first show of the 2018 calendar, and the first Major award for 2018 for a Koi supplied by us.

Congratulations goes to Barry Thompson, with his Hoshikin Kohaku. This Koi also won Baby Champion at the North of England Koi Show 2017.

Two major awards now for this little gem. It's proving to be quite the competitor!
