Yorkshire Section of the BKKS Annual Closed Show
Share
Another good sized closed show for the Yorkshire section, this show has really taken off in recent years. Hopefully they open the doors to non members showing in future. Located in wonderful surroundings, it's proving a very popular Summer show.
Congratulations goes to Liz Walling, who won Baby Champion with a beautiful little Nogami Kohaku. This Koi wasn't expensive at all of which I'm sure Liz wouldn't mind be saying, coming in at sub Β£200.00. It proves that with the right eye for Koi and keeping skills, then major awards are obtainable for not a lot of money.
Selected on our last trip to Japan, I was honestly quite surprised with the result. I believe it only just crept into the Size 2 class, so it would have been up against much larger Koi. A fantastic result for Liz and husband.
This Baby Champion marks the 4th for 2018! We're very pleased for our customers, and we thank them for placing their trust in us.
Another customer having success at this show was Larry Lambert.
He came away with Best in Variety Koromo with a Goshiki that was selected as Tosai last year. Also he came away with the Aquasource Award. Unfortunately no photo of this one. Well done Larry!
Next shows on the calendar sees the North of England Koi Show at the end of August and the All England Koi Show towards the end of September.
Another show to keep an eye out for albeit non confirmed yet, is the West Wales Koi Show.
