This particular pond has been built by the customer themselves. Requiring us to do the filtration install, fibreglass and window install. The pond holds 2,500 Gallons and is of a formal design with a large window 1.5m x 1m.
The pond has since been finished and is now clad in sleepers and slate copings giving a great finished look.
The pond is filtered with one of our Combi units and is also heated using a 9kw Thermotech ASHP. This pond now holds around 12 fish averaging 30-50cm. A comfortable stock level in the pond allows for fish development and great water quality with the ability to still add more fish to the system without overloading it, as the pond matures.
This system includes an auto top up and a dechlorination unit. It gives the customer the option to run a trickle in trickle out method for doing small constant water changes.
The customer has now fully enclosed the filter area leaving ventilation for the ASHP to run efficiently. A good turn over rate achieves the full turn over of the pond once every 40 minutes.
