Welcome to the 5th Queni Koi Event. 

The Queni Koi Event is back ! We're rather excited to bring to you the 5th instalment of the Queni Koi Event. Last year due to COVID we were forced to have our event online. This year we put it down to a vote! 100% of you said you wanted the event in-store. Now with COVID restrictions relaxed, Saturday the 26th of March. Lets do it!

The event is based around a Japanese Style Koi Open Sale that includes many koi at exclusive prices. As well as the Open Sale we will have many other Koi on offer including new Koi recently purchased on our Autumn buying, PLUS Online auctions. Dry goods will be on offer including QK Filtration, Koi food, Water pumps, Plumbing, Treatments and much much more.

We have arranged for a local Hog Roast catering company to provide a Hog Roast lunch, Vegetarian options, sweets, cakes and refreshments. Weather dependant, we'll be having a marquee so we can spread the crowd in and outside the shop.

The Day

Arriving early is recommended and ensures you have plenty of time to view the Koi on offer.
Parking is strictly at the Cedars Academy School, this will be sign posted, around 150 yards from the shop. Blue Badge Holders please park at the Queni Koi car park.

Itinerary

• 09:00am Cedars Car Park opens
• 09:30am - Doors Open. Viewing starts.
• 13:00pm - Viewing of Open Sale Koi ends.
• 13:00pm - Lunch to include Hog Roast, Sweets & Refreshments, Vegetarian Options.
• 13:30pm - Draw for Open Sale Koi begins
• 14:30pm - Raffle draw
• 16:00pm - Doors Close
  (Timings may differ slightly)

• Throughout the day you may buy any other Koi and products you wish.
• To help with queue times, you can purchase anything at anytime. We can them put your items aside till you wish to leave.
• If you are collecting previously bought Koi, please let us know ASAP on arrival so we can bag your Koi ready for you.

Japanese Style Koi Open Sale Koi

The Japanese Style Koi Open Sale contains specially selected Koi. These are fixed price and will be displayed on the website, and in show vats on the day.

If you wish to take part in the Open Sale but you can't attend the event, please send an email to mike@queni-koi.co.uk with the Koi you would like to enter. I can then enter you for said Koi. Deadline for entries is 24th March.

How does it work?

Koi in the Japanese Style Open sale will be available to view prior to the event. On our Facebook page, Website and in-store.

On the day Koi will be displayed in blue show vats. Each Koi will have a corresponding photo with its details and price attached.

Arriving at the event you will be allocated a set of counters, each counter has a number on it. These numbers are allocated to yourself only. This is to keep purchasing anonymous.

Rules are as follows, please read carefully.

How to purchase -

• If you wish to purchase a Koi, place one of your counters in the wallet attached to the photo of the Koi. (If not attending, you can enter by email Click here: mike@queni-koi.co.uk include your full name, mobile number and Koi you'd like to opt for.
• Once viewing is complete we will collate all of the photos/counters for each Koi.
• A draw will then take place for each of the Koi, starting with the most expensive. Should there be multiple counters, a winning counter will be chosen at random using chopsticks out of a box (how Japanese!). The winning person is the one to purchase said Koi. If there is only one counter in the draw, that person wins by default.
• Once the draw has taken place, please make your way to the front desk to settle payment.

We understand you may not able to afford all of the Koi you have selected. When you do win a Koi you have the option to withdraw from future lots (make sure to keep note of which koi you have gone for). *This isn't applicable to those that enter via e-mail.

For example, you win Lot A for £500.00 but can't afford Lot B, F and M. These counters can be withdrawn. If opting out, please approach a member of staff prior to the next draw being called out. Keep note of which Koi you have chosen.
If you win all Koi you have gone in for, you will be expected to purchase them.

For those that place multiple counters on a single Koi, or counters gained via a relative, these will be withdrawn. Prior to the draw counters will be verified to make sure there is only one per person/party. Play fair!

For the Koi that do not sell on the day at the event, these will be put up for sale as normal. These will be on a first come first served basis.

• Koi not in the open sale are simply up for sale as normal with 10% off marked prices.
• These include hundreds of Koi purchased in Autumn, many of which have not been for sale previously. Pending their QT schedule, I'm hoping to have Tosai available too. To be confirmed.

Online Koi Auction

• We have set aside a number of Koi that will be up for auction on our brand new Auction page.
• Log in or Register for an account, making sure to include payment and billing details.
• Upon winning, monies will be debited from your card automatically. To finalise, click Get Item and choose collection or pay for delivery. This part of the auction software has been developed to stop the numerous people that win auctions with no intent of purchasing. Saving ours and customers time and effort.

• Traditional Raffle - many Koi related items up for grabs.

Koi Payment Terms and Conditions

• Should you win a Koi, you may take the Koi home on the day or leave the Koi at our premises till the end of April free of charge. To take a Koi home on the day your pond must be at least 15 degrees and be paid for in full. If leaving the Koi with us, Koi up to £1,000.00 must be paid in full. If the Koi is over £1,000.00, a 50% deposit is required to secure the Koi. Should you enter by email and win, you'll be contacted the week after the event. (Auction koi are paid for in full)
• Sold Koi that stay with us till will be kept in their designated ponds with minimal feed, to ensure perfect water quality and health of the Koi.
• Koi that aren't collected/delivered by the deadline will incur a £25 per week holding charge regardless of size/cost.
• Delivery is £29.95 per box, multiple Koi can fit in a box subject to size.
• In the extremely rare event of your Koi becoming ill or dying while in our care. We will offer a 100% credit to be spent on anything else.
